Anita's Stitching

I have begun stitching in 1978. For the last 10 years, my stitching has been with "smalls". I love to use beads and ribbons and always looking for new ways for finishing. My email addresses is anita@anitalittlestitches.com.

Praire Schooler Autumn Leaves

I love these little designs. Pumpkin is always one of my favorite themes to stitch. I will finish this as a fob with 2 sides. My next one will be another Prairie schooler with the winter/christmas theme, "Christmas Day". I just love the newest Prairie Schooler releases.

Gift to Frieda

I am just dragging my feet on the finishing part. I have the stitching done almost one month now. The first one is from Cross stitch and Craft magazine and the bottom one is from a freebie from the Cricket Collection. They will be on the way to California.

Another wonderful gift from Australia

Maralyn sent me this wonderful package with goodies. She wrapped them with purple wrapping paper with a dark purple ribbon. I am terrible with wrapping gifts. I don't wrap them. So I appreciate the extra effort she did for me. She sent various speciality threads, a rose bud canvas kit, her husband made those little wooden pallettes, a mill hill bead pack and a wonderful card. She stitched the Historical stitches "Acorn harvest thread keeper" and a beautiful hand painted Acorn inside. Thank you so much Maralyn, and I received the gift yesterday on my birthday.

Closer pictures of the thread keeper:

The inside has both of our initials on the right hand side.

Gift from Angi

Angi from Italy sent me a beautiful card, a sampler book from Isabelle Vautier, one of my favorite European designers and she also made me this wonderful bourse from Au Fil des Reves design. Thank you so much Angi.

Gift from Janet

Janet sent me some very pretty metallic fat quarter fabric with various themes, 2 whiteman tin cans that I collect, some "glow in the dark" pins which I have never seen, a hand made basket from Conroe, Texas. A beautiful card and a framed stitched flower with a "hand" charm. Thank you so much Janet for the thoughtful gifts.

Gift from Sandra

Sandra sent me a piece of linen fabric, 2 pieces of floral them flat quarter fabric, some red themed beads, a beautiful bee card, my favorite designer, Carol Tinson's "merlin crystal" and chart pack and a stunning pinkeep with blackwork front and back with my initial "A". Sandra, thank you so much for your lovely gifts.

Here are closed up pictures of the pinkeep:

It is my birthday today..:)

After my 30th birthday, I stop counting. We don't really celebrate birthdays in my family and even when we were growing up. So it is just another great day in my life.

I am going to share the stitching gifts that I have received so far. Thank you so much for the gifts. I am not the greatest with taking digital pictures. My biggest issue is the lighting. I am not good with words of describing the beautiful gifts that I received either...

French Rose hearts

I love stitching these hearts. The pattern is from a French Designer, Tralala.

I plan to finish these as pinkeeps and then I will stitch another one as one over one as scissor keep. I will keep the set for me and the other pinkeep for a gift. I don't have problems stitching a design more than one time. I know a lot of stitchers will not stitch the same design twice.

September goals

I did not meet any of my August goals as far as finishing any of my son's stitching. I will try again this month. The themes with September and October will be Halloween and Fall stitching. I will need to start the christmas stitching as well so I won't be so stressed out towards December.

I saw some new "faces" reading my blog. Thank you so much for leaving me comments. I always cherish the support of all the old "faces" as well. Have a great September. My birthday is on September 8 and I will post the stitching gifts that I have received on that date.
