Anita's Stitching

I have begun stitching in 1978. For the last 10 years, my stitching has been with "smalls". I love to use beads and ribbons and always looking for new ways for finishing. My email addresses is anita@anitalittlestitches.com.

Some Fall Stitching

Fall is my favorite time of the year. It is not Fall at in the Texas area and the temperature is only a little bit cooler and soon the ragweeds are going to be out. I have terrible allergy this time of the year if I stay out too long.

The first pinkeep is LK Autumn boxer. Yes, I stitch it one over one again. I changed the design a little in the middle and added some orange beads. There are details on the ribbons that I used, they have leaves and pumpins on them but you just can't see in the pictures. I used a green and some type of red ribbons on the top and the green one just did not show up too well on the picture due to the background. This is definitely my favorite pinkeep:

Here are more Fall finishing, I stitched these last year. Here is the Sweetheart tree Pumpkin heart pinkeep:

Of course there will be a pumpkin biscornu:

Cay you tell I LOVE pumpkin designs and I hand dyed the Orange pins to match the designs. There is another Pumpkin scissor fob to follow in the next few weeks, I just need to practice on making tassels.

Here is the last pinkeep for today, it has acorn and squirrel:

Have a great weekend and thank you for taking your precious time to leave me comments.

I just love them all! I so adore autumn...that is what holds me back from jumping on the move to Houston bandwagon with my hubby. LOL. All I have to do is say yes and we're outta here. But, what would I do without autumn and winter???? (let's see if I'm saying that in January!) Suzann

My allergies are always worse in the late summer/fall too. Ugh! We're heading into a spell of cooler weather, so perhaps I'll feel more like looking at some of those fun fall designs! Yours are so inspirational!

Very beautiful fall finishes :) I especially love the pumpkin biscornu.

I'm also wondering what that pretty foliage is that you photograph many of your pieces on? We don't have anything like that up north here that I know of, and it sure looks wonderful :)

So, so pretty!!! You should come to Colorado!!! We're having some pretty beginning fall weather!!! today's high was only 60-ish, tonight down in the 40's but tomorrow will be 80. The best part is the chilly breeze, it just has that fall feel to it ;)

HI Anita,
I love your Fall pin keeps and pincushions. The addition of the little orange buttons on the side of the biscournu is really a nice feature. I'll have to remember that next time I am making one. I also like the autumn colors. So pretty! You have done a good job as always, I love seeing your work. It's nice to see some autumn things -- it's a great theme, I love the autumn leaves and all the colors. They're so warm and inviting. Makes me think of pumpkin and apple pies and the brisk air on my face...can you tell I like this time of year? One of these days I'll get some things finished and update my blog so I can share some of my work with you. It's been a long time between finishes for me.
Keep up the wonderful stitching, it inspires me if nothing else...and maybe I'll get back to my stitching more regularly.

I don't think I know anyone who doesn't love fall - what beautiful smalls! Can you tell us how you died the pins to match? Were they white ones to begin with? Will RIT dye work? I have used nail polish but of course the color range is fairly narrow. (It's not fall here in Arizona either but at least it's dropped under 100!)

What fun and lovely finishes. I love all the fall colors and themes that you did. Fall is so pretty with all its turning leaves, and fun with Halloween and such. The only drawback is that I really don't like winter, and when fall comes you know winter is just around the corner.
